Siaram Jewelry is responsible for the customer information described here. Contact customerservice@siaramjewelry.com with privacy questions or requests. This policy covers our website, message orders, appointments, events and after-sales service.
When you enquire or place an order, we collect your name, contact details, delivery or collection arrangements, order details and relevant messages. We use them to answer you, confirm and fulfil orders, arrange payment and delivery, and handle returns, repairs and complaints. You can shop as a guest. Required checkout fields are marked; without essential contact, payment or delivery information, we may be unable to complete an order.
If you choose an account, we keep your login information, saved addresses, order history and the cart and wishlist information associated with the enabled features. These features help you manage purchases and preferences. You may optionally provide your birthday for birthday offers; it is not required to create an account or make a purchase. Birthday promotions are sent only if you have chosen the relevant marketing channel.
For a custom order, we retain the design brief, references, relevant images, sizes, engraving or lettering, approved specifications, quotations and approval messages. These records help us make the approved piece and resolve later questions. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or others.
We use Microsoft Outlook to manage customer email correspondence. These communications may contain your name, contact details, order information and any other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to enquiries and manage orders, returns and customer support.
Whish processes your payment under its own terms. We receive transaction information such as status, amount and reference needed for order and accounting records. We do not ask you to send full card details or card security codes to us. Our website does not store card or Whish account details.
Website services may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, security events and the storage described in our Cookie policy. We use necessary technical information to operate and protect the website. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, are described and controlled separately.
Our courier receives the recipient's name, telephone number, delivery address and the shipment details needed for delivery. Our manufacturer receives the approved design and production specifications, including engraving text where needed. We do not routinely send the manufacturer your contact or payment details. An inscription itself may contain personal information even when no contact details are shared.
Website hosting, account, payment, email, messaging, accounting and storage services may handle information needed to provide their services. We maintain order and accounting records in spreadsheets. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for their role. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to handle a legal claim.
We use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
Other main providers and processing locations are:
Technical logs kept by our hosting and database providers are kept for short periods set by those providers (typically days to weeks) for security and troubleshooting.
Instagram and WhatsApp also process communications under their own policies when you choose those channels. Some providers may process information outside Lebanon; the applicable services and processing locations are identified in this policy.
We send promotional emails or WhatsApp messages only where you have chosen the relevant marketing channel. You can unsubscribe from emails using the available link or ask us to stop WhatsApp promotions by replying STOP or contacting us. Choosing not to receive marketing does not prevent you from ordering. Necessary order and service messages are separate from promotions.
Before using a photograph of you or a private message as a testimonial, we ask permission and record your choice. We agree whether your name or face may appear. We may publish anonymous testimonials, but remove details that could reasonably identify you unless you agreed to their use. Reviews you submit through a public review feature are displayed as explained when you submit them.
We may share photographs of jewellery without identifying its customer. We ask permission before publishing customer-identifying details or personal inscriptions linked to an identifiable person. You can withdraw permission for future marketing use by contacting us. We will remove material from channels we control where appropriate, although we cannot retrieve printed copies already distributed or third-party copies beyond our control.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, following the retention periods set out below. Once information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details. We may retain relevant records for longer where required by law or necessary to resolve an outstanding complaint, dispute or legal claim.
Unconverted enquiries and custom-design discussions: normally 12 months after the last meaningful contact. Accounts: while active. After 12 months without activity we send a reminder; after 24 months we notify you that the account profile, saved addresses and wishlist will be deleted 30 days later unless you sign in. Completed order and accounting records: normally ten years where required for accounting purposes. Closing an account does not erase records we must retain.
Warranty and complaint working files: normally two years after the matter closes, except records forming part of the retained order history or needed for an ongoing dispute. Marketing permission records: during use and normally three years after withdrawal; a minimal opt-out record may be retained while needed to honour the opt-out. Customer marketing images: until permission is withdrawn or their approved purpose ends, with annual review. Technical log retention is listed with the actual website providers and cookie register.
You may ask us what information we hold about you, request a copy or correction, ask for deletion where applicable, withdraw a consent or object to relevant use. Email customerservice@siaramjewelry.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary and provide a suitable method.
We aim to acknowledge or respond within three to five business days and will explain any further steps or time needed. If information must be retained for accounting, legal or dispute purposes, we explain why and restrict its use as appropriate rather than promising unconditional deletion.
We use appropriate access controls and protective measures for the information we handle and limit future team access by role. No system can guarantee absolute security. If an incident affects personal information, we will assess it and take the protective and notification steps required by applicable law.
Accounts and purchases are intended for adults aged 18 and over. A parent or guardian may purchase for a child. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied information directly through an account. Policy changes will be dated; we will provide additional notice or seek a new permission where the change requires it.
